3D model description

When Germany started to invade his neighbors in 1939, France was not quite ready. France had the Morane-Saulnier M.S.406, which was at that time the most numerous fighters in the French Air Force, but not a match to the BF-109E. The Dewoitine D.520 was starting to come out in small numbers and was getting closer to the BF-109E with better speed and tighter turns. The Bloch MB.15x series was slowly coming out with a single squadron getting their airplanes, mostly lacking parts.
And then Arsenal, a small, nationalized study firm was working on a very promising little fighter; the VG3x series. A few motors were explored like the Merlin, now reserved to the British airplane production, the far away Allison engine and the local Hispano-Suiza company with their 12 cylinders Y inline engine allowing for a 20mm canon shooting through the spinner. Already performing better than the D.520, the VG.33 had a less powerful motor version.

By the time France was at war, less than 20 VG.33 were delivered, with only 2 being operational.

This 900mm wingspan rendition is based on the initial modeling work from Maxime Daout and is to be powered by a 2507 1800Kv drone motor, or, as an alternative, the more common 2208 1800Kv. It is designed to be printed in LW-PLA, with a few key parts in PLA+, like the motor mount, spinner, servo and battery tray, propeller spinner. The design has carefully planned internal structures for LW-PLA slicing resulting in clean parts with minimal oozing. The Factory files provided for Simplify3D and 3MF files for Cura v4 allow you to quickly print clean parts.

Included with this file:
β€’ Factory files for Simplify3D v.4
β€’ Cura 4.13.1 3MF files included
β€’ Valid STL files for all components
β€’ Assembly manual and user guide
β€’ Sample markings
