It is a series of hexagon-shaped pieces, which are combined to create different shapes. Inside these pieces, small drawers are inserted, where the seeds of the vegetable garden or garden plants are kept.

The structure is fixed, by means of plastic plugs (to the wall of a room or the side of a piece of furniture) that have included the pieces of nomenclature "ta" followed by a number from 1 to 5. There are also others of nomenclature "to" followed by a number that are used to fix by means of a screw to the wood (here it could also be used a normal plug to put it on the wall). The nomenclature I have used for the files does not convince me, but anyway when they are dragged to Cura you can see well what is what.

I have only needed 1 screw to fix the structure and around that piece with fixation I am placing the new ones that do not have fixation. It's still not very advanced because I'm adding the seeds every now and then.

Before filling the seed box it is good to open and close it several times so that the areas that rub more wear and do not give problems. The same goes for the structure it is good to slide a small structure several times through the sockets of the new ones so that when you put them in their final place they do not get stuck halfway.

To differentiate one drawer from another, I'm going to print in color the flower or fruit of what it contains on a small piece of paper to glue on the front. You could also write an alphanumeric code and put it all more clearly on a chart on paper.

IMPORTANT:

  • The parts have a 0.2 mm horizontal expansion of walls and holes applied in their design. This parameter must be taken into account if adjustments are required.

  • When placing the structures it is necessary to take into account how the drawer is going to be opened to print one or the other.

3D printing settings

Everything has been printed in PLA, at 0.2 mm in a Anycubic mega X. The height of the pieces varies between 110 mm and 40 mm approximately. To ensure that there is no deformation the main parts are printed vertically.
