Iron Man is one of the most beloved superheroes of all time. He's sleek, savvy, witty, ultra-smart, and through the power of a homemade mechanical suit, he embodies everything that makes a super hero memorable - super-human strength, virtual invincibility, and he can fly! His popularity transcends through an ultimate act of selflessness in recent Marvel films - I'll say no more.

Printing the Iron Man + Tony Stark STL
The silhouette wall art comes as a single STL file. It's a very easy print. No supports, no brim or raft required. All you really need is good bed adhesion.

If you're using a glass bed without glue, you may wish to rotate it 180 degrees on the X or Y axis. Doing so will 3D print the Ironman STL upside down. This should give you a smooth, even surface when you flip it over.

I recommend printing in shiny or matte black PLA/PLA+. I used iiiDMAX PLA+. As hanging art, it looks fantastic against any light color wall or background. If your backdrop is dark in color, try printing in white for a sleek contrast.

IRON-STARK DIMENSIONS
At 100%, the faces of Iron Man Silhouette measures:

X = 25.0cm / 9.8in
Y = 30.0cm / 11.8in
Z = 0.25cm / 0.1in

The original file size is too large to fit on a standard-size printer of 235x235 (build space 220x220), such as the Ender 3 Pro. For a standard bed size, scale the X and Y down to 73%, but keep the Z at 100% depth to ensure the thinner lines remain strong. If you have a larger printer, you can also scale it up. We've printed this file as high as 125% X/Y (31.3x37.5cm) with beautiful results.

This is an easy 3D print that requires nothing beyond good plate adhesion. We prefer it on a glass bed, smooth side up, with the STL file rotated to face down. It gives it a smooth shiny surface. We use and recommend the following slicer settings.

Layer Quality Height: 0.2
Infill: 20%
Speed: 60mm/s
Supports: No
Plate Adhesion: None

Tip: If you have trouble with pointy edges warping, I recommend Cura's **Tab+ Anti-Warping* plug-in. Use it to add a few tabs on any problem areas. It's my absolute favorite Cura plug-in!*
