3D model description

This design is used to hold a laser pointer.

I am using it to do astrophotography with my DSLR camera (DSLR hot shoe bracket stl file included). The laser pointer is used to roughly point to the place where my camera is targeting. However, a laser pointer can also be used on a telescope.

My laser pointer diameter is 23 mm. This design will accommodate any laser pointer of same or less diameter than 23 mm.

I also included a screenshot of the 3D drawing that shows the exact location of the holes used to fix the DSLR hot show bracket. If you want to design another bracket to fix it on a telescope, you can use the additional spare holes located 15 mm from each side of the tube.

Parts needed:
- M3 x 20 mm, cap head (x6)
- M3 brass inserts (x8)
- M3 x 20 mm, flat head (x2)
- M3 x 5 mm, head less (x1)

3D printing settings

Print the tube standing.
Design don't require support.
Normal 3D printing settings.
