3D model description

This is a DIY project for the RC construction hobbyist. Both 2 conveyor models v1 and 2, and a hopper have been designed base on using aluminium extrusion 2040 commonly seen on 3D printer vertical post. It provides a solid base to construct around plus offers rigidity for long assembly like a conveyor. The third and latest conveyor model is constructed on 3/8 rod, compatible with 10mm rod too.

Included in this kit, both the conveyors and the hopper. A 65 pages document with parts list, parts to print with recommendations, and assembly guide. All parts have been exported in high resolution STL format but you also get the native SHARP3d cad file plus exports in STEP and other cad format. This will allow you to modify the design for your own “personal” need. For example, you can choose different length for your conveyor.

The belt used on the conveyor v1, is a custom made size obtain from a reseller on Aliexpress. A link is provided in the document. But you can also made one with Neoprene rubber strip available on Amazon and glue both end with Gorilla Super glue or industrial rubber glue. The belt on the hopper, is home made with a band of neoprene rubber purchased on Amazon and Gorilla Super Glue which works well with neoprene. Belt on conveyor v2 and 3 are also made of neoprene 2mm thick strip, glued end to end.

The third conveyor is similar to version but with lower building cost due to using 3/8 rods available in most local hardware stores.
