Stalks Mob Boss Beholder DnD Pathfinder Starfinder NPC Monster

This smarmy-looking, smug bastard is a Beholder that uses the name of 'Stalks'.

Like any truly brilliant BBEG, he never let anyone know his truename, because true-names give the speaker power over the named.

The Party should have known something was up because He owned a swine abattoir... and that the Statue of Porcina (Swine Soul Syphoner) was stolen in the first session of the campaign...

They were hired to slaughter pigs in their down-time and were told of the 'bright light' sucked into the 'air-vents' for each pig killed.

Stalks was also regularly consulted because he had the largest Arcanium/Library of Magic, and the party Wizard bought spells from Stalks, but he always kept one book away from public showing (great-old-one Warlock Tome).

Stalks was also the go-to being when it came to dealing with the Thieves' Guild.

Needless to say, the party only connected the Dots when Stalks assassinated the Noble Bard PC during his coronation, doing 2 blasts of 65,340,285 + 5 (Charisma) +D10 damage.

With Spell-Sniper, Eldrich Spear, and Agonizing Blast, and his eyeballs, needless to say, it was a TPK because the party didn't put up wards, didn't make sure security was prepped for magical attacks...
