3D model description

UPDATE V2 - Added space at bolt to eliminate issue where size needed was aligned with securing bolt.

Finally a printable bending tool to make those realistic (and much sturdier) grab handles on tanks, airplanes, ships, etc. This tool is quick and easy to print and assemble since it only requires two M5 screws and matching nuts. One print part works for both the top and the bottom.

Bend wire up to 1mm thick into a 1mm wide up to 28mm wide piece. Simply clamp your piece of wire into the tool by tightening the M5 screw (not included) and bend your wire to the desired shape!

Comparable items on the market sell for over $100. Take advantage of a DIY solution that you can print at home and forgo the shipping costs!

3D printing settings

Test printed on an AnyCubic Kobra with 0.4mm nozzle
basic PLA
0.2mm layer height
50% infill for additional strength
Total print time on the Kobra was 3 hours 40 minutes for both top and bottom pieces on one build plate
