3D model description

A model for a WE GBBR AK-47/74UN Loading Nozzle with a few minor modifications. As the name suggests, these parts will allow you to replace the damaged or broken nozzle of your WE GBBR AK. Both the front and back half of the nozzle are included, as well as a basic O-ring and a few variations of nozzle valves that will alter the FPS into lower ranges.

In my testing these fully-printed nozzles have held up very well. I have fielded and fired several thousand shots on these between my two WE AKs with no issues to speak of and I intend to continue using them.

Let me be clear, this is for advanced printer users with tech experience on airsoft guns. It is unlikely you will succeed without considerable experience both with printers and technical repairs on airsoft guns.
For this nozzle to work it is CRITICAL that it is printed in regular, non-composite PA12 filament. Fiberlogy PA12 has the best inter-layer adhesion of any filament I have used thus far and all my testing for this project has been done with this filament. The properties of Nylon, specifically layer adhesion, are extremely important for a loading nozzle as any crack or delamination will result in gas/air loss and ruin your efficiency and bog down the system. Any filament that is brittle will likely fail as a nozzle. While other filaments may work, I cannot guarantee they will last as long or work as well, although you are welcome to experiment if you aren't concerned with a premature failure.

I would not advise you to purchase this if you do not have the experience, capability, or proper machine to print PA12 filament. I would also advise against this if you are not technically savvy and confident working on your airsoft equipment. I will not be responsible for any damage you may do to your printer, equipment, or otherwise. Please bear this in mind before purchasing.

Other details and things of note:

The Nozzle Valves are printed out of PA12 for the same reason as
the Nozzle Body and with the same stipulations.
The Nozzle Valve FPS ratings(which appear in the file names) are based around the ~400mm AK47 barrel length. Keep in mind the 74UN has a shorter barrel and will be have lower FPS (~30 or so) than the given valve FPS rating.
The 'adjustable' nozzle valves have a hole for an M3 countersunk screw of ~6-8mm in length which you can back out to reduce the FPS further, similar to an NPAS. The downside of this is the nozzle must be disassembled to adjust the valve.

The o-ring model is printed it out of Fiberlogy Fiberflex 30D, though there is no need to print this if you have the o-ring from the original nozzle. I have not tried printing this out of other TPU filaments so experiment at your own risk.

The internal o-ring between the two nozzle-halves is not used in this redesign as it weakens the linking post without benefit.

Prints will rarely turn out perfect, so be prepared to file or sand as necessary against Abrasion-resistant nylon before installing the parts into your bolt.

Obviously you will need the hardware(Pins, Springs, Screws) from a discarded or functional nozzle before you can use these parts.

If you have questions feel free to message me or leave a comment.

11/22/23 - Added Alternate Nozzle Front Ends that extend further into the magazine's gas route for improved sealing. I recommend using the +.5mm version first and move down from there if the bolt does not go into battery or if you encounter another issue.

3D printing settings

PA12 or a material with similar layer adhesion and significant shatter-resistance is necessary for this to function, please reference the description above.

Keep in mind PA12 is a Nylon filament and requires a drybox and/or drying(as it is hygroscopic) to ensure it prints with the best layer adhesion. There are many online guides to reference on how to best print hygroscopic materials.

My settings for Fiberlogy PA12
Horizontal Expansion: .05
Hole Horizontal Expansion: .2
Horizontal Scaling Factor Shrinkage Compensation: 100.5%
Temp: 270C
Bed Temp: 100C
Layer Width: .4
Layer Height: .2
Minimum Layer Time: 10s
Minimum Speed: 2.0mm/s
Initial Fan Speed: 0%
Regular/Maximum Fan Speed Threshold: 20.0s
Small Layer Printing Temperature: 250C

Support infill is best printed at 30% with a 45 degree infill line angle to avoid stringing on supported overhangs.
