3D model description

This is a set of files to enable a Sand Scorcher body to be fitted to an M06 chassis. A Blitzer/Monster Beetle shell will fit if the rear mounting hardware from the SS is used.

I designed this so that the wheels would sit as centred as possibly in both the front and rear arches and reduce the steering fouling the front. It requires the front edge of the chassis to be sanded/filed back a few mm (See picture), so that the number plate recess won't block the body from sitting in position at the front.

The front mount uses a standard body post that has the lower end cut off. It's held in place using an M3 grub screw, to allow for height adjustability.

The rear section mounts on to the position of the stock M06 mounts. The side uprights and horizontal crossbar parts are included as STL files, although I would recommend using some metal rod for this part (See pictures). The Rear_Side.stl should be duplicated and mirrored on your slicer to create both sides.

All parts mount using M3 hex bolts. The rear top crossbar also requires 4 X 5mmx2mm o-rings. 2 should be positioned at each side so that the rear clip on the shell is held snug.
