Everyone knows the logo of the classic car.

Here is the "Running Horse" for the first time as a 3D puzzle (freely interpreted) for every true Mustang fan

The download includes the pony for the base, the base in 2 variants, as well as the pony without base mount

Have fun with it ;)

Assembly:

The individual elements are numbered (see pictures) The cross sections from 1 to 8.

The side on which the number is written points to the front.

The long parts are numbered L1 to L3 for the left side of the pony and R1 to R3 for the right side.

There is a "B" on each part. This is intended to help with print orientation. The "B" stands for bed side and therefore lies on the print bed ("B" is at the bottom)

Tip: For assembly, it is best to start by connecting L1 and R1 with "cross2 to cross8", then assemble L2 and R2, then L3 and R3. Finally, add the "middle" part and insert "cross1". All parts must be pushed in as far as they will go.

All parts are printed horizontally.

The clearance of the fits is 0.2 mm.

These tight fits should make superglue superfluous. The interlocking is tight and is intentional - so that no glue is necessary.

If, contrary to expectations, the parts are too loose, you can help them along with a drop of superglue

(It is difficult to find a suitable average value for the tolerances for all printers, therefore 0.2 mm - most people should be able to cope with this)

It may happen that the parts have to be reworked after printing, e.g. if an "elephant foot" has been created or if the printing accuracy deviates.

I recommend a commercially available deburring tool for the "elephant foot".

3D printing settings

Calibrated 3D printer required. Print accuracy to 0.1 mm.

The following settings are tested for the fits:

Material: PLA / PETG

First layer: 0.2mm

Layer height: 0.2mm

Walls: 3

Infill: 10%

Floor layers: 3

Ceiling layers: 6

No support necessary!
