3D model description

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE STOCK SHOWN IS THE PROTOTYPE VERSION, THE VISIBLE HEX SCREW IS REPLACED IN THE FINAL VERSION BY A THUMB SCREW LIKE THE ONE AT THE BACK

Hello !

Here is a new project I adapted from my old VSR Stock ; the KRG Whiskey-3. It contains everything you need to make a full stock conversion, carrying no components over the old stock (except the magwell/feedtube).

The hardware list can be found in the description pictures. All of the screws can be found very easily in hardware stores (or Amazon). The stock tightening screws are regular hexagonal screws, there are files included to convert those to Thumb screws (just glue the cap over the head of the screw).

The stock is divided in 3 major parts :

  • 2 handguard : the original and the Mlok (including a pre splitted of both version for regular sized printers)

  • The receiver (including a pre splitted version for regular sized printers)

  • The stock. Even if the stock looks big, I managed to print it with a Prusa I3 Mk3S which is a normal sized printer (smaller than an Ender3 for example). A version cut in 3 separate parts is included in the .ZIP if your printer is still too small.

When adjusted the lenght of the stock, I recommend adjusting it until you reach the desired lenght, measure how much the stock is extended, and print the "whiskey_3_buttplate_spacer", adjusting in your slicer the Z height, and putting it on the adjusting rod. Thiswill prevent the stock from retracting when cycling the replica.

I included several spot for the use of steel rods. These 2mm steel rods are just bicycle spokes. They are chep and strong, you can find those very easily. put some glue on those and insert those in the holes. They are useful for aligning the parts together (you will need to glue the non-moving parts together, like the handguard and the receiver together), and add a lot of strenght to the whole build. You can see how to use them on this video: https://youtu.be/Da-3L3rS4lU?feature=shared

A stock tube add-on is included, which usesa regular AEG Stock Tube. A Picatinny stock version is included too. Both of these stock usesthe same receiver as the normal version, making the swap extremely easy.

The grip is designed to be GBBR Compatible. You can put any M4 GBBR pistol grip on it, and you can use the "gripspacer" to fill the hole between the grip and the triggerguard. I recommend gluing it to the receiver, the holes designed for it will help placing it, but I don't think they will be strong.

Have fun !

Nothing special here. The easier for you is the best! Don't be afraid by the number of parts you need to print. When you've got all of these in your hands, the assembly is quite obvious!
