3D model description

This is a Smart Wallet with a unique mechanism. It uses a push button to present up to 6 cards. The cards are securely held in place by a small hook that automatically opens and closes. On the front of the wallet is a clip to hold some paper money.
Dimensions: 76x100x16mm

New and improved design here

Parts required:

5x M3 10mm button head bolts
2x M3 12mm countersunk bolts
7x M3 Threaded Insert (optional)
Thin elastic string

1x Shell
1x Cover 1
1x Cover 2
1x Button
1x Hook
1x Link
1x Riser

Assembly:

1) Remove supports and install the threaded inserts for the shell and first cover.

2) Thread elastic string through the small hole in the bottom of the button and tie it into a small loop. Connect the button and the riser using the link.

3) Insert two countersunk bolts through the rear of the shell. Then, place the hook and riser assembly on the bolts. Stretch the elastic string over a small peg inside the shell. Place the first cover on the shell and tighten the bolts.

4) Test the mechanism. The cards should move up and down without any resistance when sliding the button. If the button doesn't slide back, slightly loosen
the bolt for the riser or use a smaller loop of elastic string. If the hook doesn't close freely, slightly loosen its bolt. If the hook starts to close before cards reach the bottom, lightly sand the part of the button that closes the hook.

5) Press the 2nd cover over the first one and secure it with 5 button head bolts.

6) To insert cards for the first time, push the button up and use the corners of the cards to open the hook, then let the cards fall into the wallet.
