Note: when using the device you should press the jar hard towards the angle of the jar to make sure it clicks into place. If done correctly there is no jar that will resist. I always have problems with the acrylic paint ones, as the paint on the lid tends to dry out, but as you can see I opened it as if nothing had happened.

The impression does not need to be very dense since the points where the force is applied have a very large surface area of adhesion to the base.

I used a hacksaw blade that I had, it should be one of the large ones and if possible with larger teeth like the ones that come with the ones for cutting wood. A 10 cm long piece should be cut. I also used a piece of rubber sheet for the other side, but it is not strictly necessary.

I put it on a piece of furniture in the "workshop" where I usually paint prints, but it's really designed for kitchen jars.
