3D model description

Are you as sick as I was of having to give your printer a "Reach around"?
If so, you can install these side mounts which also allow your printer to be hard up against a back wall, creating more bench space.

These mounts use already existing threaded frame holes on the J1 frame you will just need to replace the two 3mm bolts on each side with slightly longer ones. e.g. 12mm-16mm will work.
I put spare PTFE tubes that i had from my Bambu X1C, these allow the filament to slide easier but are not a must for this build.

Cheers,

3D printing settings

  • I used PLA+ and just gave the model strength through wall and top/bottom layers.
  • 6 wall loops/layers
  • Top / Bottom thickness 6 layers
  • Infill, no less than 20%
  • If printed on your J1 you can mirror this print as there is a right and left version.
  • Tree supports and a brim is recommended but depending on your printer/print settings may not be need.
