3D model description

Topple-Decker Troop Transport of the Hot-Rod Marauders For One Page Rule (OPR)

This troop transport vehicle is inspired by a London double-decker bus with some american greyhound styling elements.

In the lore of my army (see main lore below), the human worker tried to convince their Ork leaders that adapting a double-decker public transport to an off-road troop transport was a bad idea because it is top-heavy, but the Orks liked the look and size. When tested, the human workers warned them not to turn too fast, but were ignored the warnings. The ork driver flipped it and it crushed one of their warriors. The humans were scared of the consequences but the orks loved it, asking more spike be installed along the sides, planning to purposfully flip it when charging the enemy, so the bus would fall and crush them in a manuver called a "Topple-Charge" hydrolic self-righting arms where also added to put the bus back on its wheels after falling over.
(I gave it extra charge damages in the one page rule points calculator to simulate the Topple-Charge)

To articulate those srimech arms:

-put a small spring or bit of cushion foam in the hole at the base, then squeesh it by puting the srimech pins in, pushing the arms in their socket in the side of the bus so the foam expend pushing the pins in the hole, making a hinge

-sand the piston parts until the slide freely inside each other and wiggle them in place without glue on the pins of the bus body

-add magnets in the hole and behind the arms to hold them up when stowed

Their are multiple wheel options in a zip folder

NOTE 1:
The engine should be painted separatly, then installed in the engine bay part, which is then lifted in place under the front of the bus, visible through the open side of the hood

NOTE 2:
I suggest painting the partial interior before joining the rear and middle sections of the body

NOTE 3:
the turret can also be magnetized so you can still rotate it

NOTE 4:
The 3d models were updated since the one in the photo was printed, the body is now more high-res and smoother

LORE

For those wondering why my ork army isn't equipped with junk, here is the story i made for them:

The Hot-Rod Marrauders Orks are a faction that is strongly influenced by their unlikely interactions with humans, it all started long ago:

The Human planet of P-16-X A.1 was a remote human world used as a huge prison colony because it was so far and unpractical to get to. For the same reason, it was made self-sufficient with multiple cities and its own economy. After a series of unfortunate event, Humanity would lose that world:

First a major undetected glitch would erase multiple worlds from any records, since most have regular contacts with other planet, they would soon be rediscovered, not P-16-X A.1

After a massive rebellion, the prisoners overwhelmed the local forces and uploaded a virus to destroy orbital communications with the rest of human space.

In the middle of this rebellion, a group of Orks Marrauders dropped of hyper space and landed to invade and pillage, steamrolling the already overwhelmed local forces and killing the escapes convicts.

The civilians, having nothing to loose, plead for their life and safety. Lucky for them, the Governor in charge noticed the Orks and their leader Urok Nicrakka were infatuated with the cars of the locals. It so happens that the population had a very important car culture of Hot-Rods and custom vehicles. The Governor conviced the invadors that those would not do good war machines, they were too fragile (kicking a dent in a panel with a small kick), but the humans could make them some strong one just like them, but ready for war. Only not as slaves, being a slave make humans sad and scared, and you cant work well in a bad mood. To do such great machines they needed to be treated well, to be in good spirits! otherwise, humans cant focus, its like running in deep mud, even when you are given an order, you cannot run until you find solid ground.

Urok wanted shiny vehicles of war so much that he agreed to let the humans be safe and to live well, with the old local administration doing the boring work of dealing with salaries and such, so long as the war machines and weapons kept coming.

This is why these Hot-Rod Marrauders have such fancy and clean equipement instead of the usual junk

As a bonus, these Marauders constant contact with human culture influence them to pick up aspects of human life that make them even more distict from other Orks. ( like wearing uniforms, army medals and prayer scrolls)

As a final fun fact, the Ork misunderstood the word "civilian" not as "citizen" but like any word finishing in "-ans" that is the name of a population (like martian or european) and deduced that P-16-X A.1 is actually "Planet Seville", where "Sevillians" live. Seville as therefore been the planet's name ever since.
