3D model description

I am the owner of a Yamaha FZ1 N motorcycle, model year 2008, and I wanted to 3D print some parts to refresh its design. I was very fond of the honeycomb motif, so I decided to use it.

I modeled a cover for the side plastic under the seat and a cover for the footrest to replace the existing stainless steel cover. You can find both of these models on my profile. For each, there is both a right and a left side.

Both covers are printed flat and do not replicate the material's radius beneath them. Therefore, after printing, it's important to heat the print with a heat gun to 150°C, place it in the desired position, and secure it to the part, for example, with rubber bands or pins, to perfectly replicate the radius. Alternatively, you can reheat the print and repeat the process.

It's possible to insert a 3D printed washer of a different color underneath the cover, allowing you to experiment with various color combinations where the underlying color will shine through the honeycomb pattern. In the case of a smaller 3D printer, I divided the model into multiple printable parts.
