3D model description

Thank you big time to Sergei000 for the original version of this clever, light & compact launching stand (sharded on TG); I had pleasure modifying it.

Thank you to Bergstern as well, for the bird feet (Printables).

FEEDBACK

Sergei000 & I spent lot of time designing this LPad you can dowload for free; so be smart, clic on "like" button if you like it or post your make & comment if you print it.

I made cosmetic modifications (adding recesses, bulking parts) & a few more significant ones:

  • longer horizontal struts (no the base lengh modification) allowing this pad to be 18mm larger than the original when fully unfolded se. So, this pad is suitable for drones up to "7 inch" props

  • longer "knifes" (the short inclined part shaped like Bowie knife) without hooks; so hooks aren't in the way when using platforms. They help the pad to be suitable for large drones as well. But, if - sometimes- you prefer to use hooks to hold the rear arms of the drone, you don't have to change long knifes without hooks for short knifes with hooks, because long knifes can receive removable hooks (3 possible positions, to match the size of your drone, to be printed in TPU)

  • platforms to hold front motors (5 sizes, don't print them in TPU). They can be plugged into 3 different positions. Use knifes without hooks if hooks are in the way when you use platforms

  • folding legs to lift the back of the pad; so, the drone can be tilted 45* (using the 106mm ones), instead of 30* when the pad is flat. Fun bonus: bird feet can be plugged to legs & bases. You have to short legs after printing in order to tilt the pad to an angle within 30 & 45Β°.

Most of the modified/new parts of this remix are compatible with the original version you have maybe already printed.

For example - you can:

  • add legs (with or without their bird feet)

  • put the new "chopsticks" (the long inclined parts), in order to be able to clip front motors platforms

  • go for the new knifes (& their TPU adjustable hooks)

For assembly: you need quite the same screws as for the original pad, but sometimes you need longer ones (ex: if you add legs)

Cheers
