3D model description

Small intrument that prints on a regular 3d printer with a bed size of 20x20 cm. Only 5 parts. No supports. You can play irish fold and american. For the tuners I used the ones provided on printables. I scaled them up to 1.13 and they work fine. You need a 0.75 mm (or 0.3 in) metal pipe to assemble the instrument. You can get the pipe from a hardware store; I got mine from a shoe rack I got from a dollar store it comes with 16 of those tubes, so you can build more guitars. And you also need 2 M6 bolts. You put one bolt on top of the neck and the other one on the bottom of the guitar. They both go into the metal pipe. Inside the pipe you have to put some plastic filament or parts from a plastic fork of those that come with instant noodles. The bolts screw fine with that. Glue everything with epoxy. This guitar also works with regular tuners. But if you want to 3d print the tuners you can send me a dm and I'll send you the link because I didn't make them.

3D printing settings

PETG but can also work with PLA. 1 mm nozzle. For the body 0.12 layer height, walls 6 mm, top/bottom 4 mm and infill 100%. For the the headstock layer height 0.11 mm, walls 2 mm, top/bottom 3 mm and infill 25%. Print the neck in vertical position. It prints in one shot. For the rest of the parts use the same setting but with 0.1 mm layer height. Print them extra slow. You may increase the flow for the lid and the neck. Be careful with the sharp corners appearing with PETG if you increase the flow. You may need extra bed adhesion for the pins if you use PETG. https://youtube.com/shorts/85y7wlF-ijc?feature=share
