3D model description

Stackable rafts that can be quickly adapted to support different small-scale models!

Workflow

  1. Find your choice of small-scale infantry. If they are already on a raft, remove it with your favourite software.
  2. Import the Pseudo-Rafts and models into Lychee slicer.
  3. Rotate your models back 25 degrees.
  4. Position your models so their bases align with the rafts' supports
  5. Select the raft and your models and use Layout->Tools -> Merge
  6. Use Prepare->Support->Island to search for islands. (Note: In some cases I had to save and restart Lychee for it to detect islands on newly merged objects!)
  7. To make sure supports are stackable, use Alt to create supports that connect to the models' bases, or the Pseudo-Raft. Use CTRL-ALT to create mini-supports.
  8. Once supported, use Layout->Duplicate (Keep Arrangement) to copy and stack to your heart's content!

Troubleshooting

Help, how do I make the bottom level? Do I have to support everything twice!?
After supporting your models, copy one of the upper levels, remove the supports connected to the Pseudo-Raft, then move it down until it's aligned with the Bottom Pseudo-Raft Support Cradle!

Help, my model is too tall/too small!
Just move the rafts up or down to control vertical space.

Help, my model is too fat and is overlapping with the front/back supports!
Move the supports forwards or backwards. The easiest way to do this is to use the orthogonal Left or Right views, use Spacebar to turn on Advanced Support Editing and drag the main support pillars to a better position.

Help, my model's base is too small and won't fit on the supports!
Use your favourite 3D software to make your model's base thicker, or create a bigger cylinder in Lychee and overlap it with the model's base.
