3D model description

Frustrated with the lack of cupholders in your Audi A3/S3/RS3?

If you're into tinkering, you can buy my design to 3D print your own Audi A3/S3/RS3 8P cup holder that installs in place of the ashtray.

This is my first time selling a digital file so, if I left anything out or you simply have questions, don't hesitate to ask me, I will do my best to help!

Also, I will update the file accordingly should there be any issues (none in my case).

Update 1: Added a .stl file as well if you prefer that over .3mf (the design is identical though).

Update 2: Here are the exact dimensions, should you need to use a 3rd party 3D printing service: 133.4 x 187.6 x 89.7 mm

3D printing settings

  • Printing instructions -

I recommend printing it vertically (rotated 90 degrees)
Use tree supports everywhere at 70% support overhang
At least 3 walls
10% triangles infill
10mm brim plate adhesion (you really don't want the supports coming off during such a long print).

Obviously, the smaller the layer height, the better it will look but the more time and filament it will take. Feel free to Bondo, sand and paint it or just prime it with clear lacquer and sand it for a more polished look. Otherwise, whilst looking great, it has an obvious 3D printed aesthetic which you either love or hate.

PLA works but PETG or ABS would be preferable as it handles heat and UV better and there's less risk of warping/melting.
