3D model description

Here I show my new wind spinner. The spiral ring is suspended from a nylon cord and the grooves of its spiral arms catch the wind and make it spin. The shape is very esthetic and looks good from all sides. The rotation creates a very beautiful and interesting dynamic drawing that attracts our attention and captures our gaze. The piece also rotates indoors, for example, due to the rising air above the stove or heater. You can paint, varnish, spray paint, gild or otherwise finish the rings as you wish, creating a variety of unique and distinctive pieces. In this video you can see some spinners in action: https://youtu.be/h3hIzNCqzns
You can also scale the piece to your liking and get movable jewelry for your home or garden. It is best to hang the wind chime on a nylon thread, for example, fishing line. This is very stable.
I have created 2 STL files. One with the pure object and a pre-supported one that works for both FDM and resin printing.

3D printing settings

Printer details:
For FDM:
Layer thickness: 0.05 mm, (little rework, good surface and less sanding required.)
But you can also print faster with 0.1 mm.
Pressure temperature 200 Β°
Print bed temperature of 60 Β°
Printing speed: 70 mm
Speed outer wall: 20 mm
Flow: 100%
Wall thickness 3mm
Filling 20% / triangles
Printing plate adhesion Brim / 15 mm wide
I print all my pieces with 50Β΅, which requires little rework and little sanding. PLA or standard resins are suitable for printing. The spinner is about 18cm tall, but I think you can scale it to your liking.
However, when scaling down, there is a risk that the supports will be too weak.
Please make sure you have a good bed adhesion. On the finished model just remove the support rods and sand off the residue.
I have 2 printers in operation:
for FDM: Ultimaker 3 Extended
for resin: Phrozen Transform Fast.
Both excellent devices.
