3D model description

This is a simple socket organizer that works for 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 sockets.

The clips slide around to accommodate different sized sockets while making the most effective use of space. It also allows for a mix of 1/4, 3/8, 1/2 sockets to best suit your tooling situations. Works for SAE and metric sockets. Maybe even Whitworth ;)

The best application for this is stationary organization in your toolbox. Please note that this design does not lock the sockets into the holders. If you turn the holder on its side, the sockets will fall out.

3D printing settings

PLA - 20% infill - 0.28 mm layer height - No support

I recommend printing the base first, then print one clip. Try the clip on the base, it should push on with a bit of force and not easily pop off. It should require a little bit of force to slide along the base. If it is too tight or too loose, adjust scaling of the clip accordingly and sample the print again. When you're happy, you can bulk print the clips.
