3D model description

This is for the stl files to print desiccant holders for Desiccant that will fit inside the Bambu re-usable spools. I am providing two different versions in two different configurations.

Update 10/14/23 Added files to print funnels to fill these and the AMS Desiccant holder by another creator on Cults.

Be warned the some of desiccant on Amazon for 2 to 4 mm desiccant that has some fines in it and small broken pieces. I recommend to sift this if you use it prior to filling the containers to avoid any contaminants in your AMS or Dryers.

Version one:
Designed to fit into the Bambu spool when it is apart. having keyed out features that align withe the features on the spool to lock into the spool. The cap of this assembly can be removed while the Desiccant holder is still in place in the spool by pushing up to lock the ribs into the features on the spool.

Version two: fits in the spool vey similar to the first but it does not have the ribs. This allows it to be put into the spool after the spool is assembled. This version will not lock into the spool like version one.

The difference in configuration is the size of Desiccant each will retain within it. There are files to print one each of the two versions in both configurations. for 2 to 4 mm Desiccant and one for 3 to 5 mm Desiccant .

The lid screws onto the bottom with large threads. It may be necessary to work the threads in a slowly the first few rotations into closing. I recommend doing it similar to how you would tap a hole.

3D printing settings

I used stock settings on my Bambu P1P to print these except for I change the outer wall to .39 for better quality, use Gyroid infill at 20 percent. If you go higher the lid may be really tight and take a lot of work to wear in. no supports needed.
