3D model description

I love printing objects in vase mode and a friend asked me if I could make him a personalized box of chocolates with the initial letter of his partner's name, an A,.... from there to the whole alphabet, in three sizes, it was a few hours of entertaining design at Fusion 360.

The actual measurements are:

  • XL 22cm x 6 cm high

  • M 18cm x 5cm high

  • S 12cm x 5cm high

3D printing settings

Many letters can be printed by simply activating the vase mode, with an outer wall thickness of 0.8mm, but letters with an inner part such as A, B, D, R... have to be printed simulating that mode with the following parameters:

  • Layer height: 0.28mm

  • Filling: 0%

  • Bottom layers of the cover: 4

  • Upper layers of the cover: 0

  • Wall loops: 1

  • Outer wall: 0.8mm

Note 1: It is not recommended to change the size in the laminating program.

Note 2: even if your nozzle is 0.4mm it will have no problem to make the wall thickness 0.8mm.
