3D model description

A highly detailed and realistic model of the F-86A Sabre fighter jet.

The first prototype performed admirably even in adverse weather conditions.
The model can be constructed with or without landing gear, with the prototype using the fixed landing gear from my old Habu jet.

The V1.5 version of the model has a better fit for a 70mm EDF, as well as redesigned elevators and ailerons.

The 3D files are watertight and compatible with all slicers for 3D printing.
While assembly instructions are not available at this time, assembly is straightforward and self-explanatory.
I will provide them at a later stage.

Requirements:

A printer with a minimum size of 200x200x200mm
LW-PLA filament weighing +/- 750g

Specifications:

Wingspan: 1032mm
Length: 1035mm with fueling nozzle
Print weight: 750g LW-PLA
The center of gravity should be around 4-5 cm in front of the main gear struts

Parts List:

3-4 HS55 servos or equivalent
4S LiPo battery, 3300mAh - 4000mAh
FMS 70mm EDF with 2845 KV2750 4S Motor or equivalent
1000mm Carbon rod, 1mm diameter
500mm Carbon rod or tube, 5mm diameter
2x 500mm Pushrods 3mm diameter

Optional: Fixed landing gear (e.g., Habu SS 70mm EDF or any other suitable Habu landing gear) and an additional HS55 or equivalent servo.

Use lightweight PLA

0.4mm Nozzle
0.4mm Extrusion Width
0.25mm Layer height
Infill 2-4% (3% for most parts)
Single Outline
2 Top Layers
1 Bottom Layer

For the finest result, sand the model and apply a coat of epoxy or polyurethane primer before painting.

The two transparent cockpit parts are best printed using a resin printer or with a vacuum former.
