Historical description :
The G-13, also known as the Panzer 68, was a Swiss main battle tank that served as the standard armored vehicle for the Swiss Armed Forces from the late 1960s until its retirement in the 1990s.

The G-13 was based on the German Jagdpanzer 38t Hetzer tank, which was one of the most successful and widely exported tank designs in the world. The Swiss obtained a license from Germany to produce their own version, resulting in the G-13. It was a capable and reliable tank, featuring a 105mm gun, strong armor, and modern fire control systems.

One unique feature of the G 13 was its ability to be driven on Swiss highways, thanks to its narrow design. This allowed for the rapid deployment of the tank throughout the country in times of need.

The G13 was used mainly for national defense and served as a deterrent during the Cold War. It was eventually replaced by more modern tanks in the Swiss Army's inventory, but it remains a part of Swiss military history as an example of domestic tank production based on a successful foreign design.
