3D model description

This is the EA Midway Fleet Carrier originally conceived by Mark Graves and Rich Bax, and based on the line art illustration that Rich Bax did for the ship as part of his EA Big Carriers background.

This fore and aft of this ship are modified versions of the Nova hull, integrating some WIP fixes from my Omega model. The main hangar body also integrates design elements from the Hyperion, especially with the hangar bays, which helps tie together those separate design lineages.

The original illustration had a bit of an issue where both the side and top view could not be simultaneously true, so I went with the side view as the source of truth for this conversion.

Note: I added some hull paneling to the forward section of the Midway. Let me know in the comments if this is an improvement over the base Nova, and if so I can go ahead and add those to both the Nova and Omega.

3D printing settings

Successfully printed at default dimensions using Elegoo Saturn 2 8K at 0.050 mm layer height.

I did have an issue with the engines taking support damage, but that just might be me and my printer acting up due to changing environmental conditions. I'll update after the next reprint to see how things turn out otherwise.
