3D model description

These are used to start vehicles when the battery is flat, the socket being connected to the box where the electrical master switch is located. They are a common sight on post-war British AFVs, often draped around the exterior of the vehicle if not stowed in a bin. I understand that the socket may be a NATO standard size but can't say I recall seeing them on other countries' vehicles.
Designed at full size from an original in my collection. To scale down, adjust accordingly, i.e. for 1/35 scale, 1/35= 2.86% so use that as the scaling factor. For 1/48, use 2.08%, for 1/72, 1.39% and for 1/76 1.32%.
You will also require two 12mm (0.34mm in 1/35, 0.17mm in 1/72) wires to represent the cables, which are made from copper covered in black rubber and are fairly stiff (and heavy!), so no sharp bends.

3D printing settings

Print at an angle so that the supports are attached to the edge, where they are easier to remove without damage to details. I used light supports.
