3D model description

These will be familiar to any REME recovery mechanic and are used to anchor holdfasts to the ground during recovery operations. WW2 British ARVs tended to carry eight for every holdfast so the Sherman ARV Mk I, for example, would have 48 of these aboard, stowed in racks on the hull. Being hexagonal and having a hole in the wider section they are fiddly to make in bulk and resin examples supplied in conversion kits tend to be cast in bundles which can look a bit clunky.
Based on a preserved example found in the former REME museum at Arborfield.
Drawn at full size but can be rescaled to 1/32 (3.13%), 1/35 (2.86%), 1/48 (2.08%), 1/72 (1.39%) or 1/76 (1.32%).

3D printing settings

Print at an angle with the point facing away from the build plate. In 1/35 I used automatic light supports.
