3D model description

Turn 1.5" ABS or PVC sewer pipe into a playable didjeridu with this mouthpiece. Much nicer than using a female trap adapter from the hardware store as a mouthpiece!

The defaults work well with 1.5" ABS sewer pipe from the local home center.

Updated 2013-03-22 with improved rim geometry and parameters.

3D printing settings

After printing, sand the rim well. If you printed in PLA, sand some more, and then keep sanding! For PLA, I usually also apply a torch (very carefully!) to further smooth the rim surface that your face comes into contact with.

If you printed in ABS, put the mouthpiece in a nice acetone vapor bath to get a lovely playing surface. I use a cheap rice cooker for this purpose.
