3D model description

The Sleipnir is a vertical, 11-deck 28mm scale, spaceship for your tabletop sci-fi games. Each deck stacks atop the other, for easy assembly or can be laid out on the table for easy play access. This hard science fiction design is detailed inside and out and is fully modular. While under way it relies on the acceleration of constant thrust from it's fusion torch engines to provide a semblance of gravity, but will experience periods of microgravity while the ship is not breaking or accelerating. Complete with print-in-place retractable point defence cannons. If you want to add lights the ship is ready to take lighting in the engine and airlock room.

Please note that character miniatures and boarding tube are not included in this package.

This product assembles with the use of a glueless system of clips that snaps the parts together. We use the OpenLOCK system created by and available from Printable Scenery, under license (some clips are included in the download). Unless something has gone wrong, you should not need glue to assemble the ship at all. Some loose parts will be tighter with a coat or two of paint.

Included in the package are assembly instructions with a print list.

3D printing settings

The Sleipnir specifications:
Height: 82,8 cm/2.9” (with antenna)
Height: 73,6 cm/2.5” (without antenna)
Width: 26,7 cm/10.5”

The 11 decks includes nose, bridge, airlock, crew and captains quarter, medbay, mess, crew quarter and officer suite, cargo bay(two decks) engineering and fusion core (two decks).

Estimates for Sleipnir material requirements are 5 kg +/- 0.5 kg of PLA. Material, infill and layer numbers will affect this figure. We printed the Sleipnir at 150 microns (0.15 mm). Almost all parts should print support free, and where supports are needed, we indicate this in the part name. All parts should already be oriented for optimal printing.
