3D model description

Anti-tip/anti-spill cup holder!!!

The design has been known for a long time, but I was looking at the designs that were out there in the community and none of them convinced me, mainly because they don't take into account the weakness of 3d printing, which is the bonding between layers.

That's why I decided to make this design which, being printed longitudinally to the z-axis of the object, gives it incredible strength without the need for internal reinforcements or excessively wide walls. No supports are needed either!

In this case, the two parts are printed horizontally and glued together with the help of guides that only require small pieces of filament.

I put a rubber band on it to make sure the cup doesn't slip.

3D printing settings

I printed the model in the video using 3 perimeters, 10% infill, 3 bottom layers and 4 top layers, using PLA. But really I could have done it with only 2 perimeters and 8% infill. As I said in the description, no supports are needed and the pieces are glued using 1.75 mm and 5 mm long pieces of filament as a guide.
