Being on a budget with a purpose...

I Like to maximise my print time so i tend to fill the Build Plate!

= More parts to Wash and Cure

If like me you have one of them "SOLAR POWERD TURN TABLES" and struggle to get the balance of parts and a smooth turn.

Then that means need to get another turn table?... NOT ANYMORE!

I have more than doubled the capacity of the turn table for less than the cost of another 2/3 units of "Solar Powered Turn Tables"

My first thought was to input more power. more power = faster spinning time = smoother rotation under heavier load,
but instead i decided increase the bed size.

I decided to design, print and try a few designs. I came across an old Lid from the £5 Popcorn Tubs you can get from most supermarkets,
(this one is from Iceland)

This WORKED! but after placing and removing prints, it moved on the turntable plate, causing a right nightmare of picking up scattered prints.

I returned to the idea of printing an extension but with extensions for supporting the platform in place at the same time.

This was the conclusion.

Not too heavy, weight distributed nicely. A Snug Push Fit to the original plate.

Printed in PETG to withstand UV, Heat, Water, High resistance to IPA / Acetone / other Alcohol cleaning.

No Supports needed.

Printed without Brim or Raft.
