3D model description

This STL set is a 1:1 scale copy of the British WWII Era No74 MkII Grenade. These are files for 3d printing, no physical items are sold. Photos of physical items for demonstration purposes only.

It is made of 9 files as follows: No74 Mk II Base Cap, No74 Mk II Cover Half (print x2), No74 Mk II Cover Pin, No74 Mk II Firing Pin, No74 Mk II Firing Pin Holder (To glue to firing pin AFTER pin is passed through handle), No74 Mk II Glass bulb solid(Print transparent if able!), No74 Mk II Glass Bulb Hollow (Print hollow or solid, per preference), No74 Mk II Handle, No74 Mk II Spoon (Best used as a template to make a 1mm sheet steel copy).

In order to fully complete the printed model, an additional pin must be used to connect the two cover halves together, so they rotate freely, a cloth 'sock' should cover the inner sphere, and a 10x40mm spring for the firing pin mechanism, a split pin and pull ring should be used to complete the spoon assembly. Firing pin must be passed through the handle, then spring added, then the firing pin holder glued in place at the tip of the firing pin, sealing the pin in place.

Once printed, these replicas are great for a re-enactor looking to fill their pouches or crates, a collector with an empty spot on their shelf or a student film-maker needing that realistic looking prop.

Print time approx 16 hours per full grenade. TPU is a great material choice if intended to be thrown, and if you are very brave, rat trap glue may be used on the added sock, to actually make it sticky.

This file set is for personal use only, not for commercial use. Print as many as you want for yourself, but do not sell them, or resell the models.
