Magnetic Fidget Shifter V2

Introducing Version 2 of my Magnetic Fidget Shifter. It's better in every way!

If you're looking for a satisfying fidget toy, look no further.

I spent months dabbling over the idea of a fidget toy that was fully modular, this is where I landed.

Everything friction fits together with zero super glue and as mentioned previously, its all modular, all parts are interchangeable once you've printed out multiple. As a bonus, you can use two middle pieces to create a very satisfying fidget slider!

Load up your favorite combination of colors and let your imagination run wild. Everything should print in well under an hour (takes me about 30 minutes to print everything at 100mm/s) Make sure everything is oriented in a way that does not need supports. The only item that requires optional support is the shifter (there is a 4.5mm bridge). If you do choose to use supports I would suggest using tree supports with an x/y distance no greater than .5.

This print requires 9 4mm by 4mm cylindrical magnets. 8 go in the middle portion, the other goes in the shifter.

Printing:

-As mentioned previously, i've already oriented every model in it's correct printing position. I've also provided the 3MF files if you're looking to do multicolor.
-For the middle portion, you will need to embed 8 magnets. To do this, simply add a "pause at layer height" right before the print closes off the holes to insert your magnets.

Post Processing:
-I suggest you allow each item enough time to cool before taking it off the build plate. This way you don't risk anything warping and your items will sit flush once pressed together.
