3D model description

I recently installed a tile backsplash in my kitchen. I realized the added depth of the tile and mortar was going to make the pre-existing 110v outlets 'sunken' in. I needed to bring the outlet out further so it can sit normally on the tile.

I created this simple spacer (standoff) for this need. I used it on a few outlets and it works fine.

-- WITH THE CIRCUIT BREAKER SWITCHED OFF ON THE OUTLET --

You can either disconnect the wires, and bring them through the middle and rewire the outlet, or (what I ended up doing) cut a small chunk out of one of the long sides, and feed the connected wires through the gap. Since there should not be any visibility due to the wall plate, this works well.

I don't know if this goes against any building codes or anything, so USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I used PETG for my own, but only because that's what I had loaded at the time. I imagine you can use most filaments for this including PLA, PETG, ABS, TPU, etc.

I used 100% infill.
