3D model description

This part was designed for two reasons. The first was to make it easy to remove without the use of tools and the second and most important reason is that it floats when installed with the correct Clevis size. My cottage neighbor needed to be able to adjust his boat lift legs when moving it into the water each season and he was using nuts and bolts to set the height for each one. A clevis and pin was a much better solution and a clevis with a handle that would float was even better. I printed this with PLA and glued the two halves around the Clevis with PVC cement. Then added closed cell adhesive back foam to enable the floating feature. Pics just added showing handles attached after one season of service.

3D printing settings

Print time ~29 minutes per piece with supports.

PLA, I used Hatchbox Filament: extruder set to 220C, room temperature bed (25C), 60mm/s, cooling fan on. Infill pattern, rectilinear at 90% with 3 diaphragm layers spaced 20 layers apart.

After assembly to the Clevis, a SS Nylock Nut and bolt may be put through the hole for added strength, although we did not add one.
