3D model description

Im building out some ½" PVC to outline my windows with holidaycoro window strips and had an idea for minimizing the year round attachments on my windows.

This Model started as my wanting to be able to make hanging these window outlines up easily without screwing into the window trim more than i absolutely have to. I saw this model (https://www.printables.com/model/193631-magnetic-pvc-clip-for-rgb-pixel-christmas-lights/) and figured i could build off of that idea.

I went with some rare earth magnets on amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09Y8N5B41? ) with 15mm diameter and 3mm thick and a 4mm screw hole and designed around that.

The ID of the PVC clip itself is 21.2mm on all of these models, so these nicely hold the thicker walled PVC and it will also hold the “normal” PVC as well. I made the magnet recess 6mm deep, so the first magnet gets attached (with super glue, the straight mount model also has a nut and screw to keep it secured). This leaves 3mm so when the magnet is attached to your desired surface, it will line up perfectly, This also helps add strength as it helps prevent the magnets from sliding apart. (Shown in pictures)

I was able to hold up the PVC for a window 6'x5' with 3 of these magnetic mounts, I will be using a screw mount on top middle of each window and then these magnetic holders around the rest of the window. The Magnets will be painted white so they aren't obviously visible unless looking specifically for them.

Also, something unique compared to other hardware like this, is each bracket has 2 slots so that you can ziptie to your PVC as a backup in the event your Resin or Filament starts to lose its grabbing strength over time.

There are 2 designs utilizing magnets, i then designed both of these to be mounted with screws only, i then threw in a few misc mount/clip designs.

**Any of these brackets/mounts can be mixed and used together as the bottom of your PVC pipe is 19mm from your mounting surface on all of these
