Function:  I created a two piece mallet that I like but was worried about the screw threads breaking so I make this "one" piece mallet.  Actually it has a small plug but the main body is one piece.  The head is hollow so you can fill it with sand, BB's, or lead shot to make a "Dead Blow" or "Dead Wieght" Mallet.  ABS takes impact better than PLA so if you access to ABS you might consider switching materials.
