3D model description

This purely mechanical assembly needs only a standard 3V LED and a CR2032 battery.

Please note, that this design can NOT be rescaled. It will only work at 100% scale.

The battery is inserted with the positive (+) end against the Battery Cap.STL. The cathode (short pin, next to the flat spot) of the LED goes through the hole of LED-Battery Housing.STL and is bent over the spring against the negative end of the battery. The anode (long pin) goes through the hole of the Switch.STL. The switch mechanically connects/disconnects the LED from the battery. When in mid position between ON and OFF the light flickers from any vibration.

The diode can withstand reverse current for some time, but make sure it lights up before you assemble the whole thing. I advice buying LEDS in packs of hundreds as they are very inexpensive.

As far as the file Wick.STL, it should be either translucent epoxy (better if sanded) or white filament and hollowed.

I also plan to create an expansion pack with different wicks (plants, figures, etc.) to fit this design... eventually... probably... maybe... meh.

Update 1.12.7 (08.11.23):
Hotfix - the wick had a minor issue fitting the LED. The hole was resized a bit to fit. Also fixed the hollowing of the wick to better resemble the outer shape. Uploaded a render of the fix (4th photo) as well as renders of all parts (4th trough 8th).
