Electric potter's wheel

The basis for the potter's wheel is an electric motor from an old faulty bread maker. The motor is plugged directly into the power socket (AC motor with a nominal voltage of 220V is used). The distance between the motor mounting holes is 50 mm.

Maximum motor dimensions:

• 120*120 mm

• cylinder diameter 90 mm

• height (excluding the protruding shaft with spline) - 120 mm

• diameter of the hole in the housing cover for the spline lug - 25 mm

The torque is transmitted by a straight spline insert. Parameters of the spline connection:

• number of teeth - 15

• tooth outside diameter 13.4 mm

• inner diameter - 11.1 mm

The body structure is prefabricated, you will need 6 screws of 3mm diameter and 10-12mm length. 4 screws of 4mm diameter and about 10mm long (the screws used to attach the motor will do).

CAUTION: If the motor gets very hot during operation, it is necessary to control its temperature and avoid overheating, overheating of the motor will damage the top cover.

It is recommended to provide good airflow and securely fix the case.
