3D model description

Very simple and easy to print smarphone holder to attach to the aluminum 2020 extrusion of your 3D printer (such as the Tronxy X5S), to create a cheap and convenient ipcam (with an old or second smartphone) to check up on your 3D print. The angle is slightly slanted to ensure a better overview of what's happening on your buildplate.

You can also adjust the Z in your slicer, and print two smaller versions (20mm high) instead of 1 of 60mm high. That's up to you.

UPDATE: i also tested it on top of my CR10, works for a top down view pretty good.

UPDATE 2: added a second version (V2), with a few bumps that should lock the model on the aluminum extrusion, so it'll snap in place better and won't slide off as easily. Especially interesting for people that want to mount it on top of a CR10 style printer, facing the camera down. Removed the first version.

UPDATE 3: added a version that can stand upgright on the 2020 for a better overview for coreXY style printers, like the Tronxy X5S. There is a small hole, you can run a ziptie through if you want to be sure.

*** SMARTPHONE IPCAM ***
I'm currently using the app "Alfred", which is free to download on google play store. You download the app on the camera phone and on the viewing phone, set one as sender, the other as receiver. The setup is easy and fast (for this app, you need a google account). There are similar apps that do the exact same thing. A plus for Alfred is, that you can remotely turn the flashlight of the camera phone on/off.
UPDATE: since the ads in Alfred are annoying and the resolution isn't great (for the free version) i have tried a few alternatives, and currently finding "AtHome Camera / Streamer" better with higher resolution and less annoying ads for the free version of the app.
