I made this hanging lamp for my granddaughter

To compensate for the dimensions of the pieces on the printing plate, they are printed diagonally.

Equipment required:

Flat-nose pliers if possible (flattening of hooks)

Fishing line (Braid is best)

Gouache paint (Bird screwing)

A wooden cleat (Not supplied) approx. 21x21mm for hanging, in which you can make a gallows. (Photo Overall view with bracket)

Implementation:

Choose your filament color or spray paint before gluing

Left/right body printed in 2 parts to avoid scaffolding (bird face detail).

Glue the 2 body parts together (Left body/Right body)

Glue the Wing Covers to the top of each wing. Be careful not to plug the holes (Photo4).

IMPORTANT:

Place the heart through the slot under the bird's body at about the middle, it serves as a counterweight, it is filled to 55% which should give you a weight of 16 grams. Glue it in place at the end of your focus.

Before screwing the hooks into the wing/body holes, open 4 hook loops (see photo 1 and photo 5) either on the wings OR on the body; then close them with pliers (see photo 2).

Passing the thread through the wings: Start by passing one end of the thread through one of the holes on the top of the wing, then pass it through the other hole on the underside of the wing to form a loop which you close with a knot.

Wire length between top of wings and bottom of cleat = 320mm

Spacing of wires on wood support at 300mm/310mm Adjustment to be made.

With the core pre-positioned, check that the bird is horizontal from the front and the side before gluing. Photo 3

Difficulty: Adjusting thread length (Identical length on both sides).

How it works: Pull the spout towards you in a horizontal direction and release. See Animation
