3D model description

After a hard night's work guiding Santa Claus and the other reindeer through a foggy Christmas Eve, Rudolph takes a nice relaxing soak in a hot tub, drinking a refreshing holiday peppermint martini.

Hot Tub Rudolph is a singular print design which can be displayed on a shelf (FDM) or strung on a pine tree (SLA). Let this happy-go-lucky legend reassure kids all over the globe that he will deliver Santa Claus to their homes on Christmas Eve.

3D printing settings

FDM tested (Ender 3 V2 Neo) and SLA tested (Creality LD-002R). Sliced through Cura 5.3 and LycheeSlicer 5.2.2.

The SLA model has a ring on the back of the head to attach a hook for ornament hanging. The FDM model is a centerpiece build, not to be used as a tree ornament.

FDM settings:

Print Temp: 205 C
Bed Temp: 60 C
Layer height:0.16mm
Infill: 5 - 15%
Supports: yes (tree supports work)
Speed: 50-55 mm/s
Filament: Creality Rainbow PLA

SLA Settings:

Layer Height: 0.035 mm
Light-Off Delay: 1 sec.
Exposure Time: 7 sec
Lift Distance: 5 mm
Lift Speed: 50 mm/m
Retract Speed: 150 mm/m
Resin: Creality UV Sensitive Blue
