3D model description

Widely used in the Warsaw Pact armies, the Ural-375 is one of the most iconic vehicle of the Cold War arsenal. Simple and rustic, it has good capabilities in off-road, even at full charge. Fun fact : it has a petrol engine instead of diesel, like most trucks. The reason is that it's designed to operate in very cold climate. Knowing that petrol ignites more easily that diesel, and that diesel starts to freeze at temperatures below -10°C, you can understand this choice. However, the truck burns 35L/100km in open road and... up to 100L/100km off-road !

I've made the model using Blender from the vehicle's blueprint. I've tried to make a balance between the level of details and the solidity of the model. It's available in two scales : 1/87 (18mm) and 1/72 (20mm). It can easily be rescaled to 1/100 (15mm), and maybe even smaller.

  • I recommend to print it 65° nose up
