3D model description

This the the ultimate redesign of the watch holders designed to be compatible with Casio's black shipping watch holders.

These are designed to be printed in 2 parts and then assembled, so there is no need for support material during printing. They snap together securely but reversibly, and stay together without hardware. Optionally a M2x10 screw can be used to secure the 2 parts together.

They are "compatible" with casio holders in the following sense:
-The base and box at the base is the same size and height
-They are similar in appearance, holding the watch dial at a similar angle and height
-They have a slot on the front to hold a "casio" display tag
-They share the same base footprint and bounding box volume. This is useful if you are designing a holding case where you are displaying rows of these holders.

With this design, 3D printed holders can be used side-by-side with original holders so you do not have to print as many holders.

Picture shows the 7.0 inch version beside a standard Casio holder.

The watch holders are available in a variety of sizes, from 6.0inch up to 8.5inch.
- For strapped watches (i.e. strap with holes and buckle), this won't matter because you can do up the strap to any hole to match the holder. The Casio default holder corresponds to the 7.5 inch version.
- For bracelet watches (i.e. with rigid links and pins), the holders are elastic, meaning the 7.0in can accommodate a watch bracelet adjusted for between 6.75 to 7.25 inch. If you try to put a bracelet sized for a 7.0in wrist onto a 7.5in holder, it won't fit, and if you try to put it on a holder that's too small, it will droop and look sloppy. The best way is to figure out which holder is perfect for your wrist size and just print that size for all of them.

These holders have been thoroughly end-to-end tested and refined over many iterations for my own personal use over the past 4 years. I have already printed over 4kg worth of them and tried numerous variations to optimize their ease of use, ease of print, and durability over time.

3D printing settings

This model is designed for FDM printing in PETG. Other materials may or may not work depending on flexibility.

The wall thicknesses have been optimized to print with 0.6mm nozzles or 0.6mm extrusion width.
