3D model description

Filament guide for the top frame of the Prusa i3 mk3. Why is it open on top? As soon as the carriage goes up far enough, the filament is guided well enough by the extruder, so the filament can get out of the guide by its self.

You might need to use a file on the top and bottom surfaces, to fit the part to the frame.

Edit 2019/02/08 Version 2

I added a new version, which uses a teflon tube to reduce friction. You need a short piece of 6mm teflon tube. Use a utility knife to cut out a v-shaped piece, so the filament is free to jump out of the guide as the extruder moves to the top.
