3D model description

Telescopic desk stand for webcams

Adjustable length: 280mm-480mm

This is a simple desk stand for webcams. You can use this stand for any cameras, which have 1/4 UNC thread. (if you camera have thread on the bottom, there is 99% chance it' an 1/4 UNC thread)

The stand have 1/4 UNC thread, which is the common camera/photography thread. Theoretically you can use this stand for any type camera, but i don't not recommended it, because the thread is made of plastic and you can easily snap the thread with a heavier camera. I designet this only for small, lightwight webcams.

Take care when you tight the screws. Remember, all the threads made of plastic. You can easily snap it, when you tight the screws too hard.

The camera base is not filled, so you can put weight in it and close with the cover. I put inside seven M22 nut and glued it with a hot glue gun.

Select the files (LTT and HTT) appropriately!!!!!!!
I made two files of the threaded parts. (the files names' ends with ltt or htt)
LTT stands for Low Thread Tolerance. Use LTT files if your printer can't make decent, precise threads. (cheaper, less precisely printer) I have a Bambu P1P printer and i have used the HTT (High Thread Tolerance) files and i have made perfect threads with it.

I made two stand base styles. One have rounded edges and the other one have a little chamfer.

If you have any questions, comment or problem, feel free to write to me.

3D printing settings

  • Use brims for the sticks and the cable holder clips

  • With Bambu P1P with the Bambu PLA basic filament i used grid 25% infill. Every other settings was on default. The result was perfectly fine.

  • Choose between LTT or HTT (read the model description)
