3D model description

EDIT 1/4/2020 I noticed that the remixed link is missing, I believe THIS is the original: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2442787

THE ORIGINAL WAS UPDATED AFTER I MADE MY REMIX. So the issues I had were corrected by them. My edit was made on Tinkercad and it shouldn't be too hard to split up the parts and do the same for your own if you choose to do so. This is a OLD remix, which I'll only keep up for thoes who want to try to build it. I have no plans to update this remix or files further as I had assembled my own years ago and do not have the original edits nor time to re-create every single part.

Many files were updated with a REV.2, because I had fit issues with the original versions, However I kept the original versions in here because some people may want to try to mix and match as necessary.

It's worth mentioning this is considered a "low-poly" version of the Mida from Destiny 1, It does not have all the high detail nuts, bolts, and switches seen on high def images of the mida.

I may rework some files into a more Destiny 2 version of the rifle if I have time/motivation. (they changed several details and the clip shape)

If something needs changing please let me know!

I have finished printing my own Mida and added all new REV.2 files that SHOULD fix all the major reworking I needed to do, there may be some issues still that I missed so let me know if you discover a fitting issue.

The majority of the changes I've made from the original are orientation, cutting large parts in half, and reducing the number of parts that need supports. Along with a few flusher fitting adjustments as I make my own and find it needs post-production fitting.

I've only kept the old and in-process files in case someone was using them. I intend to delete them in a month or so and only keep the REV.2 files.

I printed mine successfully on a Airwolf AW3D HD printer in ABS. this is a 200x300x300 print area, and every piece easily fits inside this printer! 1.0 wall thickness

If you have issues with any parts or questions/concerns, please let me know and I'll make the corrections as soon as I can!

as always of course, all rights to go Bungie and Destiny/destiny 2. I've thoroughly enjoyed Destiny 2 on PS4 and looking forward to the PC release!

UPDATE LOG:
10/6/17
- Added a "hinged" laser sight, which should allow it to flip out instead of being fixed.

10/10/17
- Found an issue with the Thumbstock alignment not meeting the stock body correctly.
- Set thing as "In progress" till I complete my own and adjust any issues and errors I find along the way!
- Added REV.02 rear sock body 1&2 to address flusher fit
- Added REV.02 mainbody rear (fits on top of thumbstock by rear stock) Adjusted fit and detail.
- Added Center Mainbody (part that goes on/above thumbstock) to fit better, and hopefully print easier (EDIT: Found issue with fit, will update once replacement is confirmed)
-Removed original files to reduce confusion with duplicates

10/11/17
-Added Mag left & right, as i don't know why I had it sliced differently than everything else.

10/16/17
- Found some issues with the center main body part. will release new versions soon.
- Updated Tabs (a detail part) to be a little higher definition

10/18/17
- Replaced stock shroud with one that was slightly edited to not need support for a tiny lip. making it easier to print.
- Updated folding laser sight to one without a graphic error.

10/19/17
- Added Rev.2.01 of the Handle and main body that combine them for best fit and easier assembly. It has a left, right, and (2)center pieces.
- Alternatively added Handle parts REV.04 which has cutouts that should match the previous center body part.

10/26/17
- Nearly completed assembly, discovered a alignment issue that goes way back to how the stock rear meets the entire upper half. will need to adjust several pieces to make it work correctly. Once the rifle is finished I'll release a updated version of EVERY SINGLE PART. that I know fit together the way it should. there are numerous parts that fit odd or need work to fit the way it should. so the newest revision I'll release SHOULD fix all of those that I had troubles with, in a easy to print format! When I release this, I would suggest EVERYONE who is printing or saved the current files, to use the latest. and the latest files will NOT necessarily be comparable with the old parts.

10/30/17

I FINISHED PRINTING FINALLY!!!
this took an entire spool +extra (because of re-prints) of 3mm ABS.

I added all new REV.2 files for ALL the latest files and changes I made. It's about 90% good. there will be some post-editing needed for everything to fit as well as you'd like, but it's better than the original files for printing this guy out.
Everything I printed I setup to be able to print in a 200x300 print area.

-Made numerous changes to the receiver body section, some of which I didn't use in my own rifle as I just made the post-print edits on the pieces I already made.
- I noted there was a alignment issue with how the butt-stock and the back of the thumb stock meet. and when making my rifle I accidentally shifted everything up to make those pieces match.
Honestly it doesn't make a DRAMATIC appearance difference but it's noticeable. (little post-printing work hides it well enough.

1/4/21 Added comment about original files (I believe) are from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2442787 which was updated AFTER MY LAST EDIT. Please use original files whenever possible as the ones I were using had fit issues that were corrected by original maker.

IF YOU HAVE DOWNLOADED THESE FILES I SUGGEST YOU ONLY USE THE "REV.2" FILES WHERE DUPLICATES ARE LISTED
