3D printer file info

3D model description

This is a WIP. The following is an animation of this https://youtu.be/94sn78UXnhc (the stick should be on both feet and it can be longer as needed. You can go into 3D builder on ANY windows 10 computer, and increase to a desire length)
This is a modular tool holder for the IKEA Lack table. But it should be able to be used with other items/thick tables. Basically, I wanted to make a modular unit so I can add on to it or take away as needed.
The front, mid, and back is pretty much done. You put what you need on the side of your printer (you might have to cut the mid down a bit).

How this works is you slide in the tool holders that you need. Then if you need to extend it out even more, you link them up with the mod stick. I am waiting for my replacement printer to come in, so I can't test this yet. But I wouldn't put it more than 2 or 3 holders from the base.

I added the fusion 360 file so you can modify it as needed. I will keep working on this later.

(IPA is isopropyl alcohol)

If you want to see if it works. I suggest printing off the front file and slide in test file. This will see if I got the size right. Again, I can't test this since my printer is in the mid of being replaced. If it works then let me know

I just added the lid. For the stick and lid, you can edit them in 3D builder on Windows 10. I suggest doing this with the lid so you can embed what is in it

UPDATE: I built everything and tested it. Something to note, some parts you need to superglue to each other (like the screw holder and big storage)

  • The part that goes on the table itself (Front, Mid, Back)
  • Storage (Nozzle holder & lid)
  • Allen key
  • Alcohol holder (IPA holder)
  • Big holder & lid. This lets you hold random things
  • Holder for items like Pliers, dikes, or anything with handles like that. (holder.stl) (I have the things standing next to the tools so they don't hit each other and make sound. You might not need that since it turns out most of those tools are heavy as it is and won't move)
  • Paper towel holder (Paper holder 1 & 2 STL without supports. Screw the 2 parts together and super glue them to weld them. Then wait for about 12 hours for the glue to cure. Otherwise this will break.)
  • I added a big holder (big storage)
  • Tool holder (screw, and other tools. Screw holder)

If you want me to look at making anything else then let me know

In the zip files is the supports and what not that was made in meshmixer. You might want to mess with the support holding the top to make them stronger. The reason why mine doesn't have one of the walls is because of that. But I found it didn't matter

As far as the bar that you slide everything on. You don't need to screw in the bottom unless you want. I added them for support.
You don't have to make it out of PETG like I did also.
